VR-Zone - GeForce GTX 280 & GTX 260 Price Up: "CJ let us know that GeForce GTX 280 will be sold for $649 while GeForce GTX 260 will be sold for $449 at the time when they are launched on June 17th. Also we got to know that the price to AIC partners is $485 and $325 for GTX 280 and 260 respectively so there is a tidy sum to be made by their partners. As our previous article has suggested, the GPU cost alone is $100-$120 and so Nvidia isn't making as much money as they would love to. As such, they will try to lower cost by going 55nm."
